Early Child Care in Classrooms in Hillsboro, Aloha and Beaverton
Whether your child goes to Hillsboro’s Tuality, Beaverton’s Turquoise or Aloha’s Baseline Learning Tree, our preschool classrooms each focus on developing his or her age group’s skills. In a bright, clean environment, they comfortably learn and play on safe, child-sized furniture and equipment.
Our teachers are highly qualified, certified in CPR and first aid, and trained on the Oregon Child Care Basics (OCCB) and other programs.
Infant Program
Our Infant Program welcomes infants from 6 weeks to 1½ years old.
At this early age, we introduce colors, shapes, letters and numbers. We also provide stimulation through sensory activities such as coloring, finger painting, ball play, musical instruction and block play. We teach simple sign language too. All the while, we encourage group interaction through stories, art projects, finger play, musical movement and other activities.
Toddler Program
Our Toddler Program welcomes toddlers from 1½ to 2½ years old.
In this program, we work on letter, number, shape and animal recognition using group games and songs. We also encourage creativity using art projects. We introduce Spanish language too. All the while, we teach your child independence through cleaning up after him or herself and helping other children.
Preschool Program
Our Preschool Program welcomes children from 2½ to 4½ years old.
In this program, we introduce our academic program. We do themed worksheets in the morning and Spanish activities in the afternoon. We also continue group activities such as songs, sharing, games and stories. We do hands-art projects daily too.
In our home living area, we invite the children to play make-believe and dress up. We also nurture large motor skills outdoors and through other movement.
Pre-kindergarten Program
Our Pre-kindergarten Program educates children from 4 to 5 years old.
In this program, we prepare your child for kindergarten. We work on writing skills, patterning, cutting, beginning math with manipulatives and Spanish. We also do creative, fun art projects. We introduce computer play too. To teach responsibility, we assign daily jobs. And to encourage participation, we do group activities.
Private Kindergarten Program
In this program, we introduce structured academics. We do math, reading and writing, science, Spanish, art literacy and afternoon art projects. At the start of the school year, we hand out letter books that teach phonics, writing, reading and listening skills. At the beginning of each day, we ask everyone to do their daily job, talk about the calendar and weather, and play “zero the hero,” which is our countdown to 100 days left of school. We also take field trips to a pumpkin patch, a bowling alley, nature trails, plays, gymnastic centers, art studios and many other destinations.
After-school Program
In this program, we promote social interaction in themed areas for play and group activities. Play areas include our building, science, computer, home living, board game and table toy areas, listening center and library. Group activities include practicing Spanish, reading books and playing games. We also dedicate quiet time to homework and plan an art project daily.
When public schools are closed, we welcome your child to join us for special activities and field trips.
